I Want Hens And I’d Like To Keep Them In A Chicken ark, How?
I want 3-4 Hens and a chicken ark seems a good place to put them, i don’t want to buy one and spend a lot of money. Could a build a dog house and make it for hens?

Yahoo Answers answers:
Sure! I’m not familiar with an ark. A dog style house should be at least three feet wide and four feet long. A perch in the back, opposite the front door opening, going the three feet wide way, can be 16 inches off the floor, 1 and a half inches wide and have 16 inches of head space from the top of the perch. You could even build it with no floor and let the grass serve as the floor. Put the house on runners so you could slide it to a new space once a week.

How Do I Build A Chicken Ark For 2 Hens?
I’m thinking of getting a couple of hens for the garden and I need a run/house/ark. I cant afford a new one and would like to build one. where can I get plans/instructions to build one?

Yahoo Answers answers:
So long as they have a dry place to roost anything will do. Look on line. A good friend of mine uses the kids Wendy house, Its luxury. Just make sure it has room for lots of bedding and you can get a broom in to clean it out (daily would be great) Good luck with the chickks. They are Fab to have around.

I would like to build a chicken ark?
to house about 6 chickens,construct from timber,with a base about 6×4 ft

Yahoo Answers answers:
My friend spent a week and lots of money on building his chicken shed and the chicken only spent their first night in there. Think carefully as they can be kinda fickle, hope your not disappointed and good luck.
